Sailing Rules Talk

Brian Watkins will be hosting a presentation and conversation about the racing rules for new and experienced racers.  Our focus will be on the unique spirit and context of our amazing rules, so you can either start with a solid foundation or, if you’re an experienced racer, you can put your knowledge into a more practical perspective.  We will also talk about the overlap of the rules with race management, uncover some common misconceptions, and decide on topics for future discussion.  Brian is a US Sailing certified race officer and judge, a sailor and racer, and a CYC volunteer and former commodore.  Dinner and bar service starts at 6PM and the talk starts at 7PM.  This talk is part of our women’s sailing initiative and is open to all members and their guests and future members.
