In addition to honoring the new additions to the Club’s Honor Roll of Champions and the winners of the Club’s Performance Trophies during 2016, we will announce the winners of the Club’s Discretionary Awards, as selected by the CYC Board.  With so many outstanding 2016 performances, being nominated is itself a great honor.

• Sailor of the Year –  Craig Burnell, Jim Geros, Talia Toland.
• Boat of the Year – Absolutely (Charlie Macaulay), Different Drummer (Charles Hill), Here & Now (Pat Denney), Jubilee (Erik Kristen), Last Tango (Jim Geros)
• Hans Otto Giese – Jen Hobden, Shauna Walgren, Peggy Watt
• Cruising Boat of the Year – Ardea  (Jon & Michelle R. Henderson), Mango (Scott & Kristen Meilicke)

Other Awards

And of course there will be recognition of outstanding Junior Sailors, the Boating Family of the Year, a Dog House Award and the winners of various performance trophies, recognizing such boats (and their skippers and crews) as Outlaw, Final Rose, Glory, Terremoto and Dos.
