Dec 2 First Friday at CYC

Our second First Friday event on December 2 will be an evening of potluck, friends, and a movie.  The movie will be “Morning Light”, a true-life adventure about fifteen rookie sailors sharing the goal to race in the Transpac Yacht Race.  CYC members, families, and guests are encouraged to join us.

Our gas grill will be heated up and the bar open starting about 6 pm.  If you want to join us for the potluck, please plan to arrive by 7 pm and bring something to grill and something to share (appetizer, side dish, or dessert).  We’ll have some burgers available for sale to grill as well.

We’ll have the movie and free popcorn starting about 8 pm.  Feel free to come by before or after dinner to just hang out and relax.  Stay as long or as little as you like.

One conclusion of the “restart” meetings of the membership is that club members need to be more involved in activities beyond racing, if the club is to remain viable.  We hope to revitalize social and educational events centered at the Shilshole clubhouse.  To this end we plan regular events on the first Friday of each month.
