Did you attend sailing camp at CYC this summer? Would you like to apply some of the skills you learned on a race course? Sail Sand Point and the Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle will be hosting the annual Octoberfest Youth Regatta on September 27-28, 2014.
The Octoberfest Youth Regattais the final event in the Northwest Youth Racing Circuit and open to youth ages 18 and under.
- Laser Radial, Laser, FJ, Hobie 16, and 29er classes are all welcome, there will be a 5-boat minimum for a class. Sail Sand Point will have limited charters available from their fleet of 12 FJs, 6 Hobie 16 and 13 Lasers. Please contact Nino at nino@sailsandpoint.org for charters.
- There will be an Optimist Green Fleet sailing a separate course with on-the-water coaching. This is the perfect venue for a beginning Optimist sailor. Sail Sand Point will have 28 Optimists available to charter. Please contact Nino at nino@sailsandpoint.org for charters.
- Additional classes are welcome (advanced notice is appreciated).
Registration includes a regatta t-shirt, lunches for participants on both days, dinner on Saturday, and light refreshments on Sunday after racing. Preregistration is strongly encouraged! Preregistration fees are $35 per participant and must be received by Sail Sand Point by 5:00pm on Monday September 22, 2014. Week-of registration fees are $40 per participant.
This a well-attended event and a lot of fun for our sailing youth and we hope to see you there.
