I was so happy to see 7 boats show up to the Port Madison cruise: Tula, Dorothy, Wanderer, Outlaw, Joy Ride, Tango, and guest boat Mara.

Thank you to Bob and Margaret Liston for planning such a fun time with your mind puzzles and your famous jokes. Weather cooperated with mostly sunny skies and some good wind for sailing over Saturday afternoon – a perfect spring day for sailing. We enjoyed appetizers and a potluck dinner outside in the cockpit of Joy Ride – they were gracious to host all 18 of us aboard their boat.

There was lots of good food but Margaret wins the best contribution with her pork, pineapple, yummy platter and jokes. With such gorgeous weather, we sat in the cockpit and told stories until 10pm.

Sunday we woke to a wee bit of drizzle which quickly stopped. Some boats headed home to catch more March madness basketball and some of us went for a walk to the famous frog – then we continued the party aboard Tango for lunch. All in all it was a successful cruise.

As we plan for the upcoming cruises, think about taking another CYC member along with you – this will decrease the number of boats that we need to accommodate and add to the cruising spirit of including others on our adventures.
