Lifesling Training

The ability to get a crewmember that has fallen overboard back onto the boat is a critical seamanship skill anywhere…but especially in Puget Sound with our cold water temperatures. This class will teach how to get a boat back to a crew that has gone overboard, and then how to get them back onto the boat using a Lifesling and a specific block and tackle for that purpose. We’ll present an overview of the techniques at dinner presentation, then dockside practice. At the conclusion of the Friday presentation, we will schedule on the water training with those in attendance at a mutually agreed date.
