Come racing. The Rookie Rally is an instructional event for those new to racing or those skippers who want their crew members to hone their skills. CYC will supply an on-board coach for each registered boat. Those who register should have a boat with some crew and have some idea of how to sail her, that is all. You can only get better from here.
Saturday morning (9:30-11:00): the Rally starts with classroom work with Chuck Queen talking on sail trim and racing tactics and Ed Von Wolffersdorf having a talk on rules.
Later Saturday boats will be on the water from 12:00 to 5:00 (aka 1700). Several races are planned for both Saturday and Sunday.
Sunday sailing is also from 12:00 to 5:00 pm.
Fees are $40 for CYC member and non-resident guests, and $60 for resident guests. Register online (secure registration is available).
