Possession Point tracks can still be uploaded to Kattack

If you have tracked your Possession Point race but you have not uploaded the track yet, you can still e-mail your GPS file (as .gpx) to North Sails. See the attached “Kattack Instructions” document for additional information

After Possession Point, it will be possible to track and view your boat performance in the Pulley Pt. race using the Kattack Race Player software.

Thanks to North Sails for setting up the Kattack system.

So far, 15 Boats have uploaded their Possession Point Tracks and you can test the Kattack race player and view the Possession Point race using those uploaded tracks.

Here are the steps:

1. Download Kattack race player software from www.kattack.com.
2. Install and launch it
3. Select: “North Sail Seattle” under the “My Races” tab
4. You will see the available race on the right hand panel.
5. Select your class or view the overall race.
6. View the replay of the race.

Kattack setup is very easy and is clearly explained in the attached documents. Essentially, you just need a hand help GPS (Garmin is preferred, but any GPS will work, provided you have an UBS connection or the serial cable). You also need to install on your computer the Kattack Race Player that can be downloaded free from www.kattack.com.

These are the main steps for using Kattack:

1. Turn on your GPS before the start of the race
2. Let it run during the race
3. Download the data after the race
4. Connect to the www.kattack.com site with the Kattack software
5. Replay and view the race and see where you gained or lost.
