Wayne Berge's J/35, The Boss, above, dominated its one-design class with eight bullets, turning in the best performance of any boat in the Puget Sound Spring Regatta, staged by CYC off Shilshole on April 18 and 19. Eighty-five boats entered the regatta, which featured northerlies up to about 12 knots filling in each afternoon. In the photo below, from left, are Boss crewmember Calvin Brandel, CYC Fleet Capt. Race Jerry Diercks (who presented the trophy), Berge, his wife Diana, and crewmembers Erlin Loving, Paul Chatel, Lisa Dodd, Gary Gallagher and Anyo Domoto. Not shown are crewmembers Guylaine Lalonde and Dan Schaffner.
