Bruce Hedrick
Bruce Hedrick, managing editor of Northwest Yachting Magazine with a record of nearly 40 years of sailboat-racing success, will continue his "Secrets of Center Sound" program on Friday, March 27, at the CYC Shilshole clubhouse beginning at 7:30 p.m. The bar will open at 6:30 p.m.
The talk will be the night before the Pulley Point Race, the third of three in CYC's SLAM Center Sound Series, sponsored by Fisheries Supply.
Hedrick, who won his first Center Sound race with a Blakely Rocks overall victory in 1970, is known for his entertaining and informative presentations. His talks are primers on the best options in what are often tricky races that hinge on the vagaries of Puget Sound weather and currents.
His presentation will include a weather briefing on what to expect on the Pulley Point Race, and a review of what happened in the Possession Point Race, March 14.
