Optis on Shilshole Bay
Who: CYC members with their kids (must bring a parent and child to be eligible to participate).
What: A fun day of sailing with your kids. Sail with your child in an Optimist to introduce them to dinghy sailing. Or race your child with each of you in your own Opti. Or sail with your kids in another type of boat.
Where: Sail Sand Point
When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., June 20. Barbeque included around 12:30 p.m.
Why: Have fun sailing with the young sailors in your family. Meet other club members with kids. Learn about Sail Sand Point and everything they have to offer.
How Much: $10/family includes sailing and barbeque (burgers, dogs and pop)
Everyone will need to sign a waiver in the office when they arrive. Then we'll get them a boat or boats. Whether we race or sail with coaching depends on the experience of the group. This will be a fun, sailing-with-your-family event.
