Kaoha,
Well the one email computer here was down for a few days so we did not get as much done with email as we hoped. It is working now but we are leaving today so this is a short hello. We are off to Tuhahuta and there is no email there so maybe a week for so until we are back in touch. We now copy most of our messages to a word document to read on the boat and then respond later. This makes it easier and less internet cafe time. We do skim your messages to see if we need to respond right now however.
Although our trip across was quick and we were happy with our time it was by no means a record. Larger boats cross in 14 days regularily.
We have met French Legionnaires and toured the island seeing the biggest tikis in the south pacific yesterday. Really incredible and our guide did a number of Marquasisan chants. Truely memorable. Yesterday we had 7 other cruisers on the boat for drinks for Suzettes birthday. It was cozy but festive.

Well so far we have not had to deal with reefs and I am not looking forward to it. So besides the tall mountains and dramatic landscape no reefs is the other good thing qabout the Marquises. We got a tide program from someone which will help and will always go in at slack tide and noon so scheduling may be challenging but safe. Part of me wants to skip to Tuamotus for that reason but we will work it out and be safe. Paul is getting diesel and I came in to get baguettes and see if the email was fixed. Tonight we should be off a quiet beach but lots of no-nos. Oh well the price of paradise.
