Greetings to everyone from Vanuatu!!

We arrived in Tanna yesterday after a 10 and a half day passage from New Zealand. Over all a good trip. We had to heave to and stand off when we arrived as it was about 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning and we don't go into new anchorages at night. Once it became light, we came into Port Resolution. Our good friends Wendy and Garth are here as well and we chatted with them and another boat to get the lay of the land before anchoring. After we anchored, Wendy and Garth came by for a visit, they helped up get all of our anchor chain out as we had just put out our smaller anchor when we first got here. Started to get the boat organized and cleaned up in the afternoon, launched the dinghy, Suzette took a nap as she had not been on watch more of the night. Had dinner with Wendy and Garth then off to bed early.

Today we were on shore by 7:30 a.m. to walk two hours to a local Kustom Village (traditional) to see a dance performance and visit. Great experience. Got back to the boat about 1:30. Getting this quick email off then back to shore by 4:00 to take a truck ride and hike to the top of an active volcano. Tomorrow we will be ashore by 7:00 a.m. to take a truck across the island to the main town so that we can check into Vanuatu, get local currency plus pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables at the market. Yesterday we were able to get some bananas, papaya and limes trading with local kids who row out in their dug out canoes. So far we feel a bit on the fast track.

Will write more when we have a chance to catch our breath.

love to everyone, hugs -- Suzette and Paul
