Leaving Mexico

We plan to leave Puerto Vallarta tomorrow for a nearby anchorage where we will do our final preparation to leave for the Marquesas.

We have been busy running around trying to get everything done. We have felt like pack mules, trying to buy all the vegetables we'll eat in a month or more plus some supplies to get us all the way to New Zealand. I've never bought so many vegetables in my life! (Well, that's not exactly true, since I used to be in the business.) The water line is looking pretty low, though. We haven't had much down time since mid February with so many visitors, but have really enjoyed having friends and family visit. We've blown off a number of projects that were on the list, but otherwise feel ready. I am still trying to get my head around the concept of sailing for 30 days straight on minimal sleep. We figure it will take 30 days to get to the Marquesas.

We'll have to fill you in on what we have been up to over the last month when we get a chance to get our thoughts down.

Cheers,
Wendy Hinman and Garth Wilcox
