Cruisers Plan Active 2011 Season
The CYC Cruising group kicks off the 2011 season with a Pizza Cruise to Kingston April 9 and 10. The group also has posted its full schedule of cruises for 2011.
Cruisers had an excellent planning meeting Wednesday, March 16, at the CYC Shilshole clubhouse. The meeting started with some snacks, wine and cheese with excellent discussion regarding cruising destinations and various equipment opinions.
Once the planning portion of the meeting started we all contributed to filling out key dates and destinations. Four boats represented at the meeting plan to make the Pizza Cruise. If any other CYC members wish to join us on the Pizza Cruise, please contact Fleet Captain Cruise, Mike Irish, gen119@comcast.net. Let us know your name and boat name and number of folks anticipated.
We will gather for Wine and Cheese on the largest boat at 1700 and then go to Pizza around 1800.
Other significant cruise events include: Memorial Weekend – May 28-30, Quartermaster Harbor and Gig Harbor, contact, Rusty Lhamon; June – open for now, potential for Manzanita Bay (Bainbridge Island) if enough interest is shown; July 2-4 Independence Weekend, cruise to Poulsbo and destination unknown (group decision), contact Suzette Connolly and Paul Baker; August 6-7, Commodore Gibson Cruise/Race to Port Ludlow, contact Cindy Gossett and Derek Storm; Labor Day , Sept 3-5, Cruise to Mystery Bay on Marrowstone Island , contact to be determined.
