Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle and Seattle Sailing Club Welcomes Clipper Round the World Boat and Crew!

Corinthian Yacht Club and Seattle Sailing Club is excited to welcome the Clipper Round the World boat and crew to Seattle! The Clipper Race requires no previous sailing experience, and takes racers a record breaking 40,000 nautical mile race around the world on 70-foot ocean racing yachts. The race is divided into eight legs and 14 to 16 individual races. It is the only race in the world where the organizers supply a fleet of twelve identical racing yachts, each with a fully qualified skipper to safely guide the crew.

Corinthian Yacht Club will be hosting a boat and crew at Shilshole Marina on Friday, April 22nd.  Join us to step on board a Clipper 70 stripped out ocean racing yacht.  Find out about the history of the Clipper Race, the ocean racing fleet, the selection process, training, stopovers and most importantly the crew.

Seattle Sailing Club will be hosting the boat and the crew on Saturday, April 23rd.  The boat will be open to the public for tours during the day on the 23^rd
