Commodore Gibson Race & Cruise
August 27, 2016 - August 28, 2016
The Commodore Gibson race/cruise is an annual, casual race to Port Ludlow marina and back again.
The Commodore race will begin near Shilshole and race to Foulweather bluff. We’ll spend the night at Port Ludlow, have a potluck dinner and enjoy some quality time around the firepit (weather and burn bans permitting). The next day (Sunday, Aug 28th), we’ll have a potluck/sharable breakfast before beginning the Gibson race from Foulweather bluff back towards Shilshole.
Anchoring outside the marina is fine, but we’ve also reserved 20 slips in the marina. If you want to take advantage of the slips (for power, water and easy access to the BBQ area), you will need to contact the Port Ludlow marina with a CC number to lock in your spot. Moorage is approximately $1.25/foot up to 48 feet. Call them at: 360-437-0513 and mention you are part of the CYC/Commodore Gibson race. Note that after August 13th, the slips will be put up for general use – so if you are going, it’s better to contact them early as no slips can be guaranteed after the 13th.
I’ll need info from each participant about your boat specifics (for the PHRF calculations) so be sure to include all your pertinent info in the registration (boat type, length, etc). If there is more required information, or if you have other info that might figure into your PHRF rating – email me directly.
Look for more information, such as the time of the skippers meeting, etc. on listserve once the date gets closer.
