US Sailing One Day Race Management Seminar

$50Join this seminar to develop your knowledge of race management as a race committee volunteer or as a racer wanting to understand every aspect of your sport. This seminar is for people with some race committee experience, and newcomers, and is a prerequisite to become a US Sailing certified Club Race Officer. The topics will include race committee objectives, competition formats, sailing instructions, race committee jobs, race committee equipment, race day preparations, setting the course, starts, issues during the race, finishing, post-race responsibilities, and scoring.

Time: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Seminar Fee: $50 (US Sailing membership required, see below)
What to Bring: Racing Rules of Sailing book, completed study questions
What is Included: Course packets, lunch, and optional online certification testing after the seminar.
The lead instructor is Brian Watkins. Brian is a US Sailing Regional Race Officer and Judge, and is the US Sailing Area Race Officer for our region.
