The Plan: We plan a potluck dinner in the Port multipurpose room so we are out of the weather.  Bring something tasty because there will be a prize for the best dish, recognition and prestige, but……. Also, the winner has to give a second portion of theirs to the worst dish provider and vise-versa (the largest boat skipper makes the two selections). BYO.

Time is short. If you even think there is a possibility of your attending, sign-up.  You have until arrival to cancel but we need to give the Port a head-count by March 26. Your free pre-reservation has already been made so you have nothing to lose by signing-up…..but do it quickly.  Your CYC trip coordinator is Richard Moewe on the “Yonder” Ericson 28.

Rules of the Port of Poulsbo:

We have a total of ten slips on preliminary reserve.  Eight slips are 40 feet and two are 30 feet on E-Dock (slips E22 through E-40 for 40ft lengths and slips E-29 through E31 for 30ft lengths). First-come-first-served the day of arrival.  Arrive after 4pm and the slip may be forfeited to the Port.

Your Port fee is $0.90/foot with a thirty foot minimum….calculated as the greater of either your length or the slip you occupy.  If available, you might use the End-of-Dock for a $68.40 minimum at E-Dock or $59.40 minimum at F-Dock…..who knows how they figure these things.   You pay upon arrival while the office is open from 1pm to 4pm.  You need to depart before 4pm or else get charged for another day.

As for the trip itself, you are twelve NM from Shilshoe Harbor.  You need to plan your voyage around the ebb and flow in Agate Inlet. You probably want to enter from the north between the hours of 0900-1600.  Going back out, you will probably want to get through between the hours of 0700 to 1000.  If you want privacy away from us slip-types, Poulsbo has abundant great anchorage, located near the dock. The entire Poulsbo bay is nice and snug.
