This is an exciting time for CYC.  We have started buying the first set of boats for the junior program.  We are looking for another $10K before April 11 so we can purchase a total of 16 Opti’s.

The racing season has started.  We had good winds for both the Windjammer series and the first two races of the SLAM Center Sound Series.  A drawing for some fine SLAM gear is planned for after the racing on Saturday in the clubhouse.

For any former members that want to rejoin, we have a special offer until the end of April.

To spur Sound One-Design racing, the Spring series is on Sundays this year instead of Thursday evenings.  Racing starts April 3.  We have changed the requirements for Sound One-Design racing this year.  See the Racebook and fee schedule for more details (under Sail with Us) for Thursday night boat.

Everyone should have paid their dues by now and now is also the time to register for racing.  Don’t wait until the last days.  The deadline without a late fee is usually four days before the series start.

Our new web-site is up and we need fleets to add information to the fleet pages.  We invite the fleet Captains/Web-masters we want to have fleet information on the CYC web-site.  You can make it your fleet page or just have some skeleton information and a link to your web-site.  You can contact me with the information.
