Letter to competitors from Fleet Captain Race
Hello,
One of the exciting (and frustrating) aspects of sailboat racing is the number of lead changes you can have in one day. Wow, did we see it last Saturday. However, you probably shouldn’t have as many lead changes off the water as we have this week. I humbly apologize for the scoring irregularities and greatly appreciate your patience while we have worked through them.
Current registrants have been updated on the webpage. http://www.cycseattle.org/racing/results-and-registrants/
Please join us for some or all of the following clubhouse activities:
Friday night social, the bar is open. Derek Campbell of Banshee will again assess the possible potential weather and tactical options for Saturday. The discussion will begin at 6.30ish.
Saturday morning breakfast at the clubhouse between 7-8 am. The magnificent sailing crew of Tantivy brings you another delicious $5 menu including pancakes, bacon, juices and coffee. IHOP ain’t got nothin’ on this.
Saturday afternoon after racing the clubhouse will be open for carousing and in depth strategy review.
Lastly, the Puget Sound sailing community lost a longtime supporter this week when Jack Rabbit’s owner Chester Hibbert passed away. Those interested in paying tribute can stop by CYC Friday night or Saturday morning and pick up a small token that you can fly from your boat.
Sincerely,
Bill Blodgett
