Second ‘Restart CYC’ Meeting Sept. 19
The first club restart meeting was held as planned on Monday, September 12. About 60 members took part in the conversation that covered the following agenda: Snapshot (Mission, Membership, Activities, Assets, Operations, Financials), Focus Group (non-member women who love sailing), Ideas, Meeting Process. The meeting was successful in conveying the seriousness and structural nature of our situation and establishing a foundation for a future club that will make a rewarding contribution to the sailing community.
The members decided that if a non-member wanted to come to these meetings that would be OK, considering they’d be willing to spend their evening that way.
Your volunteers would like to apologize for not having been able to assemble the requested complete set of materials and notes for redistribution. Some key materials are being compiled and we hope to have some time next week to put these things out.
Restart meeting #2 on the topic of Membership will be Monday, September 19, from 6:15 PM to 9:00. A draft agenda is attached, although things are moving pretty fast and we may make some adjustments before or audibles during the meeting. The members who made the first meeting seemed to think it was worthwhile, and, we hope, thought provoking. Hope you can make this next one.
