This year’s POD (Pacific Northwest One Design ) Regatta was staged over the Jun 24th-25th weekend on Puget Sound.  33 boats in 6 classes raced  in generally moderate breezes, sunshine and record breaking heat (not to mention current!) Classes winners were Erik Kristen and crew on Mor Jubilee ( J-105 ), David Brede and crew on Distraction ( Melges 24 ) , David Schutte and crew on Taj Mahal ( J-80 ) , Pierre Jeangirard and crew on FB Incognito ( 505 ) and JD Reddaway ( no crew ) on Jebe ( RS Areo ).

A big shout out to all our Race Committee volunteers and staff, as well as our dockside volunteers in the clubhouse and, of course, our amazing office catering and bar staff who keep everyone fed and watered! CYC events only happen with the hard work and dedication of a large community, and everyone pulled together yet again to stage this event. Thank you all, as well as to all the participants!

Next year we are looking at refreshing/revising/revisiting the POD regatta, and as such member input, suggestions and assistance is actively needed!  Please contact the Race Fleet Chair Matthew Wood, or any member of the board, with your input.
