Organization:
Corinthian Yacht Club is an 800-member organization based at Shilshole Bay Marina in Seattle. The club stages sailboat races on both Lake Washington and Puget Sound, organizes cruises for members, runs meal services several times a week (depending on the season) at Shilshole and offers a variety of social programs of interest to the local sailing community. The club also operates sailing camps for young people during the summer.

Job Description:
- Work with Committees
- Flesh out Program Plans and include vision, goals and clear marketing messaging; Include budget and executable action plans.
- Serve as the hinge pin to engage Committees, Event Coordinators and volunteer participation between all programs.
- Mentor committees and Event Coordinators. Provide a road map to CYC processes and articulate what staff can and cannot do in facilitating club activities.
- Assist Committee chairs in tracking membership and trends
- Work with the Board
- Create the Board Agenda, create action items for the Commodore team, send action items to board and committee chairs.
- Help identify and work with Board to realize revenue/mission opportunities with enhanced communications and program development. (EG: Vanguard 15 opportunities, member recruiting opportunities, community development opportunities.)
- Oversee Daily Club Activities
- Keep the Master schedule/calendar – oversee coordination of schedule with Board, committee chairs and staff.
- Oversite of events, event scheduling to avoid overlaps and facility event, and communicate as needed to the Commodore Team, Board and Committees and Membership at large.
- Handle membership complaints, elevate complaints to Commodore Team as appropriate.
- Ensure all systems are in order, elevate problems to Commodore Team and or committees.
- Personnel Administration:
- Collaborate with Commodores in employee management, and hiring and firing of Club Staff.
- Prepare employee onboarding documentation; schedule training, shift scheduling, employee records maintenance; gather time reporting information; facilitate employee regulatory and club policy compliance.
- Budget/Financial Responsibilities
- Oversight of training and best practices on all financial operations, Accounts Receivable, Payroll Taxes and City, State and Federal Tax Reporting, license and permit administration.
- General budget management of all programs.
- Coordinate with Book keeper and Treasurer.
- Ensure follow-through on sponsorship and business memberships.
- Support fundraising work.
- Set annual goal of clubhouse rentals and parameters with Commodore Team.
- In House Communications:
- Collect information about Club activities and announcements and generate weekly e-newsletter, The Telltale, and update CYC Website and Facebook communications.
Job Type:
Part-time. The weekly hours for the club manager position are negotiable. The club estimates that the tasks below would constitute a 20-hour-a-week job. Taking on additional administrative tasks could push that to as many as 40 hours a week.
Salary:
$22.00 to $28.00/hour
