July 3-4: Poulsbo and Blakely Rock Tidepools
Raft up with fellow club members to enjoy the Third of July Fireworks in Poulsbo. Wednesday morning, raise anchor and sail to Blakely Rocks for a picnic and to explore the rocks at a -3 foot low tide (11:50 a.m.) and picnic on the white sand beach exposed at low tide. Cindy Gossett will be on hand to talk about the marine environment and creatures that reside at Blakely Rocks. Or walk around and check out where the high points of the rocks are so you can avoid them at the next Race. Join us for either or both. Blakely Rocks will be fun for kids, young and old alike. Altair will cruise through the anchorage around 11:00/11:30 to pick up anyone who would like ferry service, then anchor just off the west end of Blakely Rocks (weather permitting). Paul Baker and Suzette Connolly are leading this cruise and can be contacted at altairseattle@yahoo.com or 206-947-7073. Please call if you would like ferry service.
