The Mystery Bay Cruise is still a bit of a Mystery! Most comments go like this: Where is it? Up South of PT? What? Oh yea, Port Townsend. How far is that? 35-40 miles. Where are we going? Inside, between Indian Island and Marrowstone? Really?
Mystery bay is Killsut Harbor on the chart, and you have to get there from just NE of the protected Navy Zone.
- Small boats can take the shortcut through the Port Townsend Canal, East of Hadlock.
- Big boats have to go around the North end of Indian Island like they are headed to Port Townsend. Mind the shallows at the corner. Here’s a couple “chart pics”.
