Cruising | March 29-30: Phinney Bay Cruise

Cruise over and Raft-up in Phinney with Puget Sound Cruising Club!

Located on West side of Port Washington Narrows, this local trip might take a little longer, but it’s well worth it. The large open bay has plenty of room. Of course there’s a potluck or two, this is a cruising club after all. Last time we tried this destination, back in 2009, we had seven boats make the trip; Blue Jay, Panta Rhei, Osprey, Simplicity, Tango, Yare, and Yohelah. Some of that group is in the South Pacific now. Where are you headed?

Where’s Phinney Bay?  Phinney Ridge?  It’s not in Seattle!  Folks who have sailed around here for 15 years may not know!

  • Sail and motor over to Bremerton
  • Go NW up the Port Washington Narrows less than 3 miles
  • Hang a tight left, and anchor down by the South end of Phinney Bay in 24′ (likely near 47°35.2′ N / 122°38.72′ W).
  • Check the tides and current

Hope to see you there!!
