Eleven-year-old Emma Nagle, left, in her alligator jaws hat, and Anne Bassing enjoyed last Friday's Anthony's Home Port Race, co-sponsored by CYC and Sail Sand Point. They were crewing on the J/24 Gator, skippered by CYC member Brian Nagle, one of the organizers of the series. Nagle says boats that want to come out and give the casual racing series a try can hand a $10 bill to the race committee and be scored for the night. Racing gets under way at 7 p.m. off the Kirkland waterfront every Friday through August 28.
