There was wind indeed with billowy clouds and flecks of foam on Lake Washington for the annual Oktoberfest Junior Sailing Regatta held at Sail Sand Point Sept. 26 - 27.
One hundred and ten from all over the Northwest and Canada enjoyed two picture perfect days of racing with wind, sun and great competition.
Ally Roberson pulls her Opti into the float at Sail Sand Point. Her parents, Amie and Michael, were among the key volunteers at the Oktoberfest regatta.
Race committee was provided by CYC's own Kevin Cunningham with many volunteers lending helpful hands.
Following the race on Sunday the young sailors were met at the dock with freshly grilled burgers and Hot Dogs, served up by Sail Sand Point volunteers and parents.
Many thanks to the numerous volunteers who helped to make this event a success, it could not have been done without you.
