North Sails and Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle present
One Design Fleet Championships and Puget Sound Sailing Championship
under one heading October 3-4 & 10-11

Corinthian Yacht Club and North Sails celebrate the end of a stunningly beautiful buoy racing season by combining two regattas into one. The One Design Fleet Championships, October 3 & 4, and the Puget Sound Sailing Championship, October 10 & 11, are being presented this year as one event, the Puget Sound Sailing Championship. By bringing these two events under one name, both events become stronger. Producing one larger event is more efficient than two, and sponsorship becomes much more attractive and effective.

The new Puget Sound Sailing Championship will attract over 160 one-design and PHRF boats and well over 750 sailors. The Regatta opens on October 3 & 4 with a weekend of small keelboats and dinghies racing including Thistles, J24's, Stars, Etchells, I-14's, Lasers and any other classes with five or more boats registered. The Puget Sound Large Boat fleets round out the Regatta on October 10 & 11. Large Boat fleets are divided into classes with small rating spreads to ensure competitive level rated sailing. Offshore one-design fleets with 5 or more boats are eligible and some PHRF classes may race on handicap. Racing on both weekends takes place on two courses just off the Shilshole Bay Marina. Spectators have a great vantage point from Golden Gardens Park. Friday night, October 9th North Sails will host a Tactics and Weather talk with open bar and pizza.

Since the wind gods always smile on PSSC, multiple races will be started throughout the day on professionally managed and equipped windward/leeward courses that will test your skills and capacity for fun. Specific Sailing Instructions include the first warning schedule. Guest moorage is available at Shilshole Marina by contacting 206.728.3006. Racers and support crew should join us in the yacht club for drinks and friendship after racing every day.

Deadline for registration is 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to the first day of racing for each weekend. Late registration possibilities and penalties are explained in the SIs for the respective sections of the regatta. Register online or by calling the Club at (206) 789-1919. For online registration, determine your fees first.
