Cruising & Racing | August 16-17: Commodore Gibson Race/Cruise

August 16-17
The Commodore Gibson is an annual two-race series from Meadow Point to Foulweather Bluff and back, and includes an overnight stay at Port Ludlow Marina.

Many valuable prizes are available for various accomplishments in the Commodore Race.  Every boat will get a prize.  The Gibson race has no specific prizes, other than the trophy.  Winners of each race will be announced at the annual CYC awards party in January and there is a perpetual trophy for each race, where the winners’ names will be inscribed.

Registration

If you wish to join the fun, please contact Jerry Andrews (jerry@jrandrews.org817-727-5790) as soon as possible so we can get your boat handicapped!

As of August 6, there are 6 competitors registered.

Skipper’s Meeting

The skipper’s meeting for the Saturday race is on Friday, August 15 at 7:30 PM (1930 for you military-time buffs), downstairs at the CYC clubhouse. Appropriately-salty dress is suggested, but not required.
