The Pink Boat Challenge | Can CYC Win the Pink Boat Regatta?!

CYC boats have participated in Pink Boat Regatta since 2012, when  9 CYC boats registered, raise funds, and raced. While we have not had that level of individual boat participation since, CYC boats have consistently collected the most fundraising buoys each year since. In a fleet of 45 boats with crews from more than a dozen yacht clubs and numerous unaffiliated sailors, that is spectacular. CYC has also sponsored the use of the club since 2013 and held the event on-site since 2012.

With more than 600 members, CYC has the largest group of sailing vessel and sailors in the Seattle area. With such an active and enthusiastic group of sailors, CYC believes we can make a difference by raising funds to support breast cancer research. By stepping up the friendly competition and encouraging as many boats as possible to join those who gather each year, we help the search for a cure for breast cancer both on and off the water.

The Pink Boat Challenge is ON. We challenge CYC sailors to field the largest group of boats, collect the most buoys, and put the most enthusiasm behind helping find a cure for breast cancer. To win CYC must collect the most buoys and raise the most cash to help find the cure for Breast Cancer: REGISTER YOUR BOAT or DONATE

scca_logoThis year the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, has stepped up to suppose this event and is one of the many grantees working with the BCRF on on going research program. SCCA has been trying to find the cure and has been working with BCRF as far back as 2002. They need our support to continue to find the cure for Breast Cancer.

So CYC members step up and support the Pink Boat Regatta by (1) entering a boat and crew, (2) collecting buoys for your boat, or (3) supporting your favorite boat entered into the Pink Boat Regatta. Go to Pink Boat Regatta and help find the cure!!
